Walmart Holiday Price Guarantee Program

Wow! If Walmart’s layaway program wasn’t enough, Walmart just announced the Walmart holiday price guarantee program. Starting November 1st and running thourhg Decemeber 25th, if you purchase a product at Walmart then find it advertised for a lower price elsewhere, Walmart will pay you the difference in the form of a Walmart gift card. “Wal-Mart is easing shopping stress this Christmas by allowing customers to shop when and how they want, all while guaranteeing low prices through the entire holiday season,” Duncan Mac Naughton, Wal-Mart’s chief merchandising officer, said in a statement. For more details, visit Walmart Christmas Price Guarantee!

We’d love to hear your thoughts. Do you think this will make you shop more often at Walmart this holiday season?

* The offer excludes Black Friday ads and Internet pricing, among other restrictions.

I hate it when people try and price-match on Black Friday when the checkout lines are a mile long. Maybe this new program will put those price matchers in the customer service lines instead of the regular checkout lines.

Our Wal Mart says the Wal Mart Coupon Policy has changed they only accept 1 coupon per item per transaction, so if you want to buy 5 of the same razors and have 5 of the same coupons, you cannot anymore. You have to do 5 transactions! I called the 1-800 number and they said this is not true and they said our Wal Mart cannot change the coupon policy, but they are so mean about it now. I take a copy of the coupon policy each time I go in and end up having to have a manager called in and they refuse to do it still. Is there anything else I can do?

Our local WM has a policy of their own.. they say they follow the corporate policy but they have added so many stipulations and it changes from day to day that it is very difficult to ad match anymore. I have called the 1-800 number and they told me it was up to each stores manager how they will follow the policy.

I shop at my local Wal Mart quite often, with and without coupons. Many of the cashiers know me and I haven’t had a problem with the coupon policy, not one single time! If there ever was an issue, I suppose that I would simply take my business elsewhere. In my own opinion, people that want to make a scene over whether or not they can use a coupon don’t deserve them to begin with. Just like people who get upset when they miss a freebie…. it’s a privilege to get free stuff, not a right! And I think the policy is great…but I won’t be trying to get a price adjustment on Black Friday–that’s just asking for trouble.
