COUPONS: $8/2 Cover Girl Coupon = FREE @ Walmart + Store Deals!

UPDATE #2: New and bigger moneymaker when you buy Cover Girl sponges or puffs. These are consider “Face” products.
UPDATE: It appears that Cover Girl lists the types of items this coupon be used on and “Eye Shadow” isn’t one of them. Even though coupon does not exclude eye shadow, I’d rather play on the safe side. Sorry for the confusion! 🙂

Just as FYI…since the blush is not an advertised sale at Walmart, I would go in a take advantage of it as soon as possible. Once people start using the coupon to get the deal, they may up the price. This is what happened with the $6/2 Schick disposables from a few weeks ago, at least at my Walmart near Cleveland anyway.

  • Alicia Scarborough October 1, 2011, 10:03 PM

They took all the Schick razors off the counters at all 5 of our sorrounding Walmarts in Mississippi 🙁

  • Brandy October 1, 2011, 10:17 PM

Not all military patrons have the P&G inserts… my commissary never gets them at a specific time. I will be driving 40 miles to get my papers with the P&G inserts.

    • angie October 2, 2011, 8:05 AM

if you don’t have them its cause your commissary is choosing to hold them. I have even watched employees remove coupons from these inserts so they can control who gets them and how many. 🙁

  • Julie October 1, 2011, 11:48 PM

I will be on the look out for an Ulta $3.50 off of $10 coupon to pair this with!

    • Erin L. October 2, 2011, 5:03 PM

Can you combine manufacturers coups with Ulta coupons? I have only shopped there a few times.

  • Mary Ann October 2, 2011, 1:13 AM

I used 4 of them at Rite Aid today (I get the inserts in the Saturday Weekender paper and our sale at Rite Aid starts on Friday in So Cal).

The coupons specify “face” products. Listed on their website in that category are foundation, powder, concealer, blush, bronzer, and face tools, so using this coupon on eye shadow or lip products is not using the coupon properly.

My deal at Rite Aid today was:
    2 Blush @ $5.69 and 2 @ 50% off $2.84
    1 concealer @ $5.59 and one @ 50% off $2.79
    1 bronzer @ $4.39 and one @ 50% off $2.19
    Total $32.02, used 4 $8/2 Q’s, paid .02 and received a $10+UP for a $9.98 moneymaker!

    • angie October 2, 2011, 8:14 AM

I bought concealer, mascara and eyeshadow. I had not gone to the website so I just asked the lady at the cosmetic counter and she said it was ok. Thanks for the info

I did pretty much the same thing twice last night! My mother used her wellness card and I used mine and we were able to get eyeshadow and mascara. I went with a friend to do the same thing today and the two different RiteAids we went to would only let us use the coupons on foundation, powder, and such. I think they caught on real quick….Oh well still an amazing deal all around!

  • Cassie Bartholomew October 2, 2011, 2:43 PM

Yes, using this coupon on anything but a face product (concealer, bronzer, foundation, powder, blush, or face tools) is coupon fraud. Let’s all do the right thing please.

    • Ann Burch October 2, 2011, 2:50 PM

Haven’t seen the coupon but last I checked your eyes are on your face. 🙂

      • sarah October 2, 2011, 9:31 PM

        🙂

  • Kathy October 2, 2011, 3:41 PM

Cassie I agree 100%. That’s why companies and stores yank deals, because people abuse them. Anyone who has used coupons for longer than a month or so knows P&G cosmetics are face product, eye product or lip product. I hate to see people play dumb and act like they don’t know if they can use a face product coupon to buy a lip product! Use coupons correctly people so the good deals will keep coming!

  • Heather October 2, 2011, 3:43 PM

I just got back from Walmart where the coupon scanned and no questions were asked on the eye shadows. 🙂

  • Rena Ball October 2, 2011, 10:03 PM

KMart has Cover Girl buy 1, get 1 50% off this week. Does anyone know if you would be able to use the coupon with that sale? Sounds great if they do!

  • Mary Ann October 3, 2011, 8:09 PM

You all have to live with yourself when using a coupon improperly, but it does screw things up down the road for the rest of us.

  • a October 3, 2011, 11:54 PM

It does no good to belittle people who have enough common sense to think that lips and eyes are part of a face. I have “used coupons for longer than a month” and have used plenty of CG coupons and did not realize that ‘face’ coupons excluded ‘lips’ and ‘eyes’. I used my coupons on powder and eye shadow before seeing this controversy and the coupon scanned just fine. no guilt here. If I had know tools were face products, i would have probably bought some.
