If you still have a Borders near by, you may want to head over there, as it was officially announced by their CEO, Mike Edwards, that the retail book store would be going out of business for good. Sad to see them go, but of course that means possible good deals with up to 40% off. Find a location near you using StoreLocator!
Be sure to come back and let us know what deals you can find.
* All Borders, Borders Express and Waldenbooks stores are closing. Everything now up to 40% off their original pricing. Last chance to use your Borders Bucks! All Borders Bucks will expire on 7/31/11. All sale are final.

Just an FYI…my store only had the greeting cards at 40% off. Everything else was at 10% off.
Does borders sell textbooks??
Great question. 🙂
they sell a few. The one near me closed earlier this year and even when the prices went down to 60+% off all the cooking textbooks i wanted were still cheaper on amazon and o.co(as were most of the books i wanted to buy so do your research before you buy anything I ended up buying them all online). The only thing that was worth buying once it hit 50% were paperbacks because then they were the same price as halfprice books.
The one near me was selling the light fixtures and all the coffee stuff. Point is look up what books you want to buy online. I only bought 3 books when mine hit 60% off paperbacks(and they do it in stages the cookbooks were still 40%) Borders is expensive even at 50% off so be careful and remember amazon probably has it cheaper.
also, it’ll start slow. like at 10%, then it’ll go down every few weeks, 25%, 30% and on different sections as well paperbacks will be at 40% when the paperbacks are at 60%. Look out for super cheap coffee stuff~!
