I did this deal and I didn’t get the 3RR gain

  • marcia September 11, 2011, 6:42 PM

That would be nice if I would ever get any inserts in my Sunday papers…Argh

Gain was fun today! I did the get $10.RR wyb $30. in P&G products. Bought 4 Cascades @ $4. ea and 3 Gains @ $5. ea. = $31.00. Used 4 $1./1 Cascade & 3 $1./1 Gain to bring it down to $24.00. Got back a $10. RR from P&G AND a $3. RR from Gain! That makes everything $1.57 ea!

We did the deal with the $1 Gain coupons. Its funny. The cashier was surprised by the $3 RR. Guess she didn’t know about the promo. Did it three times and got $15 back in RR. Glad you posted this! Its a great deal.

I did this deal tonight, as well. Purchased 3-Gain liquid detergents, 2-BOunty 6-pack paper towels, & 1 Cascade 15 count dishwasher gel detergents. I used 3-$1/1 Gain detergent, 2-$0.25/1 Bounty, & 1-$1/1 Cascade. However I gave the cashier the wrong Cascade coupon and she gave it back because it was expired. I handed her the wrong one! So my total came to $26.50 after coupons. I received back $10 RR from P&G, $3 RR from Gain, & $3 Catalina from Gain bringing my total down to $10.50 making each of the 6 items $1.75 each. Still not a bad price per item in my eyes, especially when i needed all of those items! I love it when a plan falls into place even if I didn’t have the high value coupons. :O)

This is not a legit deal, there is a glitch in the system so taking advantage is a mere step from cheating the system.

  • Katrina September 12, 2011, 12:26 AM

Went tonight and my Walgreens did not have the right size powder only the liquid for the deal. I’ll go back tomorrow to try it with the $1 off liquid detergent coupon because I didn’t bring it tonight. Excited to try!!

Jade…you’ve been jaded! LOL This would be the same Walgreens system that runs Colgate Pro-Relief Sensitive toothpaste for 3 weeks in a row with a Register Reward but doesn’t get as much as a single tube in stock until after the currently available Q for $1.50/1 expires..yes, you can/could get a raincheck but no RR when the product came in. Oh, CVS had plenty of stock (Walgreens tried to blame it on Colgate).
NO WORRIES FROM THIS GIRL IF THE GAIN DEAL WORKS! I DON’T CHEAT, I KEEP TRACK!

    • jade September 12, 2011, 9:11 AM

Sherri, seriously if u need toothpaste that bad buy crest(better coupons same rr amount) , the pro-relief deal is not going to end until October and started in August, so u had plenty to have time to buy if u want it and yes you can still get a rain-check and receive the rr for this particular product as long you buy it before 10/14 and if your insert Q expired there was internet Q available that gave you more time to score this deal. IT SOUND MORE LIKE YOU ARE JADED!!!!! Go ahead and buy all the gain you need but as I SAID THIS IS NOT A LEGIT DEAL( the original deal is buy 30 worth of pg and receive 10 rr. If u need detergent that bad be my guest.
Yes i keep track of this site because I can score some cool freebie but this is the third time this site has advertise deals that are not legit at Walgreen!!

      • Tracy September 12, 2011, 10:24 AM

Safeway had the gain cat printing all last month…..It’s a cat not a RR……unadvertised cats pop up…..most cats are not advertised.

        • jade September 12, 2011, 12:38 PM

          thanks for the clarification 🙂

      • Jade, the deal is an unadvertised promotion and is perfectly legit. I talked to the managers BEFORE buying Gain to make sure RR would print due to our area’s pilot program and GUESS what, the managers knew about the RR promotion. The ad cannot and does not advertise every single promotion going on.

Coupon Pro is a wonderful website and helps my fans all the time. I have no problem using this site for the specials I do not know about. It’s an awesome page!

        • jade September 12, 2011, 2:02 PM

thanks for your comment. I just want to make sure it was legit becuz a few weeks ago this site advertise dove deal where the .99 cent dove bars were printing the 6rr when you bought 3 which was meant for 3/$18 deal. But I now realize that there is a national gain campaign going at stores that print catalinas. I love this site, I use it everyday( I was not bashing the site) and not everyone is going to ask to make sure its legit.

  • Michelle September 12, 2011, 7:57 AM

can someone tell me if the deal for the gain is used on HE washing machines???

    • Katrina September 12, 2011, 3:39 PM

I used the $1/1 for liquid detergent and it was for H&E washers. I did only get 1 $3 RR though.

  • Tanya September 12, 2011, 3:22 PM

Awesome! This deal is working at 2 different stores in Baton Rouge, LA. Thank you!!! 😀

  • Sherry E September 12, 2011, 6:02 PM

Jade…my apologies if I upset you with my “you’ve been Jaded” attempt at humor.
Now, just to clue you in….yes, I do actually need special toothpaste that bad as my son has a digestive disorder that is destroying his teeth and I actively seek deals on this item because it can be quite pricey. Also, the district manager that issued the raincheck advised me that I would NOT be able to receive the Register Reward! It was this same district manager that implied that the lack of stock was because of Colgate and not Walgreens.
You see, I was not assuming anything (as you obviously were…about me and Coupon Pro). My information came from, not the store manager, but the district manager.

You stated, ” I SAID THIS IS NOT A LEGIT DEAL( the original deal is buy 30 worth of pg and receive 10 rr. If u need detergent that bad be my guest.
Yes i keep track of this site because I can score some cool freebie but this is the third time this site has advertise deals that are not legit at Walgreen!!”
No reason for anyone to think you are/were bashing this site. (sarcasm)
No reason anyone here might think an apology would be appropriate. (sarcasm)
I stated, “NO WORRIES FROM THIS GIRL IF THE GAIN DEAL WORKS!”…I don’t use Gain.

I hope the balance of your day is a good one.

    • jade September 12, 2011, 8:25 PM

      thanks for your apologies

Let me extend my own apologies. I didn’t realize that u needed a special toothpaste for your son. I also realize that I spoke without knowing all the facts in regards to gain and you. In regards to your rain-check as long as the item is still on sale and is printing rr when u redeem your rain-check it should still print the rr. In your case the pro-relief will be on sale until 10/14 so the district manger is wrong. I had a rain-check for Keri lotion when they were priced at 5.99 my store was out for three weeks and on the last day of the sale, they had a box in and i was able to buy them for the sale price and receive the rr . So I would check in periodically until 10/14.

      Wish u well
Even though the lata half of your comment was laced with sarcasm lol.
