Yikes! Wall Street Journal just released a news report yesterday that prices of peanuts will be skyrocketing in the next few weeks :(:
- Kraft’s Planter’s brand will rise 40% at the end of the month.
- Unilever, which owns the Skippy brand, would not comment on pricing, but one report says Skippy prices will go up 35%.
- J.M. Smucker Co’s Jif is going up 30% beginning in November.
- Conagra’s Peter Pan brand will rise 24% in the next few weeks.

Wow! How did you get such a great stockpile? Peanut Butter is something we use a lot. I’ve had a few coupons for peanut butter, but not nearly enough!

I am wondering what else is going up so I can stock up on it. Is there a list somewhere. I know every year cheese and milk and eggs goes up in january. I think the cows and chickens have a union or something.

I got Planters at Target the other day for 24 cents: $1.99 – $1 manuf printable -.75 Target printable. I only use a couple jars of PB a year so luckily this price increase wont affect me much.
Planters is supposed to be on sale at Walgreens for $1.50 the week of Oct 23.
