These will get cancelled. The code is meant for select avery products. Just spoke with Staples.

    • Sept December 28, 2011, 8:04 PM

What labels do we have to buy?

      • Michael December 28, 2011, 8:48 PM

I will buy you as many labels as you would like.

  • Cindy December 28, 2011, 7:58 PM

It can only be used once

    • Cindy December 28, 2011, 8:23 PM

Once per account that is. Last year I thought the free creamer orders would get cancelled but they didn’t. Hoping these orders don’t either.

      • ME December 28, 2011, 8:46 PM

If you use a different browser each time (firefox, chrome, IE) you can place multiple orders. I hope these don’t get cancelled.

  • ME December 28, 2011, 8:23 PM

It seemed to work for me. The email confirmed my total was $1.90.

    • Cindy December 28, 2011, 8:27 PM

Same here. It seems like if they know about it they would have disabled it by now? I guess we’ll see.

  • kristina December 28, 2011, 8:26 PM

All orders that use that code and do not include a certain Avery label will be cancelled. Just got off phone with Staples customer service. I removed the code off my site.

    • Tina December 28, 2011, 8:30 PM

I spoke with them too. I didn’t waste my time with this offer.

  • Tara A December 28, 2011, 8:32 PM

Place my order, once I hit submit they sent a confirmation email with a much higher amount. I called to find out what the issue was and they confirmed you have to order avery labels in order to get the coupon to work. I went ahead and cancelled the order over the phone. 🙁

  • Michael December 28, 2011, 8:34 PM

ANY Avery label? Even the half sheets for under $7.00?

    • kristina December 28, 2011, 9:21 PM

It is a specific Avery item. When I called and spoke to Staples customer service they had an item # that is required to be included in your order. I do not remember the item # but you can call customer service to confirm! 🙂

  • Lisa December 28, 2011, 9:26 PM

I just placed an order for some odds and ends I needed for my upcoming vacation, and the code appeared to work for me? My confirmation e-mail displayed the coupon’s amount off of my order.

  • MARY K December 28, 2011, 9:28 PM

Last year we thought the same things with the Coffee Matte, at the end they didnt cancell the orders; just make sure you order goes delivery to different stores!! Thats what I’m doing…. 🙂

    • Roland December 28, 2011, 9:52 PM

Isn’t it weird that around this time of year Staples ALWAYS has a smoking’ HOT coupon code offer like this. Last year it was Coffee Mate like you said and the year before that was Sharpies. I think there is more too this but that’s just me!

  • melissa December 28, 2011, 9:31 PM

anything else on this? i had my order go through just fine nothing showing it’s cancelled yet

  • Pen December 28, 2011, 9:47 PM

the link above takes u to the staples page where the coupon is for the avery lables. I talked to staples as well. She said orders have to have a certain item # in them (618374 for $15 off, and 287392 for $10 off). Both products are expensive and not gonna let us check out for free! My checkout page says ‘will be applied during checkout if requirements are met’ and their terms and conditions say they have the right to charge the credit card for the amount of the coupon. However, I deleted my order and put in the labels and it said coupon code 19765 will be applied at checkout. That # is completely different from Roland’s # so he’s probably right as usual.

  • Pen December 28, 2011, 9:51 PM

Oh great u xxxed it all out it as soon as I put my comment! I checked out and hope the worst that can happen is they charge my card the $15 coupon amount and I cancel the order. I had store pick up so it should be easy to cancel if it doesn’t work. Shipping orders would be more difficult as you couldn’t cancel until you received it.

  • Lisa December 28, 2011, 9:59 PM

I did two different orders, 1 via Google Chrome and 1 via AOL. Both are in my name but I have my husband designated as the pick-up person at 1 location. Both stores are within 10-15 minutes from where we live. If this deal goes through without a hitch, you can save a bundle!!!

  • Lisa December 28, 2011, 10:02 PM

I received confirmation e-mails on both orders, and both show that the coupon is being used towards my purchase. Should I be hesitant and expect an e-mail stating something otherwise?

  • Pen December 28, 2011, 10:14 PM

Lisa, click ‘track your order’ in your email. Does it say “we’re sorry but problems with your order may prevent us from delivering it on time” ? Mine does! So perhaps the coupon isn’t working after all. Ugh. When it’s too good to be true, it usually is. We all know this saying, but couponers know ‘too good to be true’ can really sometimes be true! We tried.

  • Lisa December 28, 2011, 10:19 PM

It does say that, but if the coupon code/price was an issue wouldn’t they reissue an e-mail stating the actual amount? I’m not a big shopper at Staples as I think the CS around here is horrible.

  • Charlene Hill December 28, 2011, 10:26 PM

I placed my order. Don’t they have to honor the order if it went through.

  • Lisa December 28, 2011, 10:28 PM

Charlene, I would assume they do? If not, I would hope that they would give something in return for all of the confusion and aggravation. The code wouldn’t go through if the items were ineligible, in my opinion. I’ve never seen that happen before and I do quite a bit of on-line shopping.

  • amy Stout December 28, 2011, 10:28 PM

I got an e-mail confirmation with a total of $1.05

  • Lisa December 28, 2011, 10:31 PM

I don’t think the message would state that on-time delivery of the order would be delayed if it was an actual coupon issue. To me, I’d assume I can’t track it because it is being processed and things being picked up at the warehouse for store delivery. I could be totally off but just a thought 🙂

  • Cindy December 28, 2011, 11:08 PM

I was able to place a couple of orders on different accounts. If they cancel it, so be it. If they don’t, then YEAH! If they try to charge me the whole amount, I’ll simply return it. Last year I did the Coffee Mate deal 3 times and picked up all 3 at the same time at the store with no problems.

  • Tiffany December 28, 2011, 11:34 PM

    worked for me:)

  • Kyle December 29, 2011, 12:09 AM

Worked for me, my wife, mother-in-law and 3 other friends. Um, it works people. I got 18 K-Cups and 2 air dusters for $3.48. If they cancel the order, oh well, jokes on them. We’ll see if my order actually shows up in the store in a couple days.

  • ME December 29, 2011, 7:19 AM

@Cindy – I placed a few orders as well and they all went through. I just clicked “track order” in my email as @Pen said and mine says exactly the same – “we’re sorry but problems with your order may prevent us from delivering it on time.” It also says “researching” under the status. I’d think they would honor it since they let it go through originally. If not, oh well though.

  • tori December 29, 2011, 7:21 AM

I looked this morning and my order was cancelled

  • Lisa December 29, 2011, 10:20 AM

My orders aren’t cancelled, but they do say researching when I click the track my order button. Should I cancel it all together? Staples is not winning me over with all of this confusion and hassle.

  • Michael December 29, 2011, 1:33 PM

You can’t blame Staples and get angry over this (kinda looking in your direction, Lisa). Everyone is trying to use a code that was put on a coupon site without knowing the origin. Maybe it was initially only supposed to be given to people in regards to a specific Avery promotion and then someone forwarded it elsewhere without that important piece of information and then it kept spreading from there. Trying to get $15 worth of material for free and not having it work is no reason to get upset, it’s not like Staples sent the code to you directly and then later said “nah, we take it back”.

  • Cmomtwice December 29, 2011, 1:45 PM

I just checked my orders and they have all been cancelled. 🙁

  • Lisa December 29, 2011, 2:14 PM

    Michael,

I don’t necessarily blame Staples, but if this was the issue, an e-mail should have been sent out instead of the customer having to wait and then finally call customer service (we all know how annoying and drawn out that process is!) Neither of my orders were free, but they were discounted. Not all free things are worth it, I’m not what one would consider to be “extreme” in my couponing. I do enjoy shopping on-line for bargains, just as the rest of you 🙂 For the record, I was never upset … however, it was aggravating to say the least to sort through the confusion. I ended up cancelling both of my orders, anyhow. As for Staples, I have never had good experiences when shopping through them so if I came off as overly annoyed – that is why.

  • MARY K December 29, 2011, 10:51 PM

My order got cancelled!! Well it didnt hurt to try…

  • Nicole L December 29, 2011, 10:58 PM

I am hearing that some were able to pick up their order and went through even though the status said canceled. Mine said it should be in tomorrow. Maybe I will get lucky. Not a big deal if not.

  • denise December 30, 2011, 8:29 PM
