“Do not buy this product ! I repeat- do not buy! I am surprised it has not been recalled . I received a nice check from Little Tykes as an apology for this terrible product. I had to replace the floor in my car as the crayons melted in the car and messed all the floor up. The first reply from LT was:” Did you read the directions prior to using the product? It states that the travel center CAN NOT be left in the car, it must be removed when the engine is off”… No, I did not read the directions, I assumed that a travel center (that is attached to the headrest) can be left in the car. After I e-mailed LT the pictures of the floor in my car- they did not question anything anymore, and cut me an apology check. Anyhow, read the reviews on Amazon .Do not buy! You will pay $5.00 for the toy and $500.00 to fix your car 🙁 ”

I didn’t see the reviews…but went to Amazon and saw them…one lady suggesting painting the board with chalkboard paint and using it as a travel chalkboard…nice if it works. Otherwise, we will let the girls paint their own design on their “desk” and use it with paper. Worth it for 5.00.

Well it would seem that anyone with a brain would know you can not leave crayons in the car. They are wax and will melt if exposed to heat.
I bought one of these. For five bucks I can’t go wrong to keep my little one busy in the car. And I would never even to think to leave crayons in a hot car. Its just common sense not to do that. You would leave a carton of icecream in your car. Its nice of them to cut you a check for something they really weren’t responsbible for.
