Walmart Text Message Scam 2012
APRIL 25 – Heads up! There’s a Walmart text message scam going around that promises a $1,000 gift card from what looks to be Walmart’s legit website Walmart.com. It does not however, direct to the the company’s true web address. Walmart has launched an investation into this matter. For more info, go to Walmart Fraud Alerts!
And remember, when it’s too good to be true, it’s likely not true! 😉

been getting this on my cell for a couple of months-got the first one when I walked into my Wal-Mart! I went straight to the manager and showed it to him-of course he didn’t have a clue-that’s Canton, Al for you! Since to my knowledge, WM doesn’t have my cell # I deleted it.

Lol auto correct. I’ve been getting them for like once a week for the last month. The number changes constantly. So replying stop does nothing.
I received the exact same offer today only it was for Best Buy. It said I had won a $1000 gift card from a text raffle I entered. I know that I never enter raffles from my phone so I figured it was a scam.
