Disney Raises Park Prices for both California Theme Parks
The happiest place on earth is raising ticket prices y’all. Well at least in California! This past weekend, Disneyland and California Adventure increased their one day ticket prices to $87 up from $80. That’s a 9% increase! Though the biggest increase will hit people who buy the premium annual pass. The pass increased to a whopping $649 up from $499 just last week. That’s a huge 30% jump from before!
Disney has not made it clear as to why they are increasing their prices but many people are saying it’s because of their $1.1 billion dollar expansion of Disney California Adventure.
What are your thoughts on the increase? Let us know in the comments below!

Ridiculous. I remember not ALL that long ago we were buying the premium passes for $199. I’m really glad we got sick of Disneyland. There’s no way those passes are worth that kind of money!
Are we supposed to be shocked by this discovery? They raise their prices everytime they add something new. This huge increase will help pay for the expansions at DCA, and then some! When I was a kid, it cost $20 to go to Disneyland :-/
Corporate greed to the nth degree. Shame on you, Disney. Shame.
I dont think they care if you shame them. They are smiling all the way to the bank.
Ridiculous! I feel bad for those children that will never get to experience Disneyland or Disneyworld due to high prices. Really sad Disney…You make money off of parks, stores and networks.. I used to go to Disneyland every other weekend..My children were only able to be taken ONCE in their young lives due to high prices. Sad. Sad.Sad.
this does sadden me but not surprisingly considering they laid off 2000 people last year. Disney is truely making people see that with their prices that the best things in life are FREE!!!
Disney is going to put their parks out of the price range for the average family. At their prices, a family of 4 has to spend almost $350 just to visit the single park for one day. When you add motel, meals, gas and minor extras, a vacation lasting a couple of days could cost that family probably $1000. Disney parks used to be very affordable and fun to visit, but now they are getting so expensive and crowded it has taken the “magic” out of the Disney experience.
