What to Buy Organic 2012

It’s always been a hard decision choosing between organic produce and regular produce, because organic produce can be much better for you but also quite expensive. The last thing we want to do is spend more money at the grocery store when we don’t really have too. But did you know many of the regular fruit you eat may be contaminated with pesticides, a spray used on much regular produce in the farming phase. Here are the top fruits and veggies you SHOULD buy organic whenever possible:

  • Celery
  • Spinach
  • Peaches and Nectarines.
  • Apples
  • Berries including Blueberries, Strawberries, Cherries.
  • Sweet Bell Peppers
  • Lettece
  • Grapes (imported)
  • Pears
  • Potatoes
  • Beef
  • Milk

We’d love to hear your thoughts. Do you buy organic?

I tend to stay away from the organic vegetables because there have been cases of people getting salmonella, but I know you can get that from anything. I would actually like to read more about organic foods if anyone has tips.

Elizabeth, you are being naive . Do you not realize thats all we did for years prior to technology and development of chemicals? how can you say you stay away from organic risking salmonella, when you are eating non organic foods that are sprayed with pesticides and are genetically altered. You cannot get salmonella just because it is organic you get salmonella bacteria from other things touching fresh produce such as raw meat. ASK a PHYSICIAN, They say organic is best. I cannot stand people who are so out of reality because of the society we live in!!!!!!!!!
