Wow! Starting Sunday (February 28th), JCPenney will be selling select items for ONLY $.01! Yeah, I said for just one penny! In a new promotion called “Get Your Penney’s Worth”, all JCP stores and JCP.com will be selling certain items for ONE penny (no minimum purchase required!), while others for buy one, get one for a penny! The items will not be revealed in advance but two brands that will be included at some point will be Arizona and JCPenney Home. We should be seeing more penny deals throughout the year and are always very limited! I’m hearing reports that JCP is offering this promo to help drive up their struggling sales but either way, this will hopefully help lots of us save money. Click here for more details! Calling all Starbucks Rewards members! Starting in April, Starbucks wil be launching a brand new Starbucks Rewards Program! You’ll start receiving Stars based on what you buy, not the amount of transactions. With this new program, you’ll earn 2 Starts for EVERY $1 you spend on coffee, food, drinks, and more! If you’re a Gold member, you’ll score a FREE Item once your earn 125 Starbucks and you can achieve Gold status when you earn 300 Stars! Plus, Starbucks will also introduce mothly Double-Star Days where you can earn double the stars on that specific day. Current members will see stars in their account multiply to reflec the change once this new program launches.
Personally, I think this program is good for people who buy more than one item during a single visit or who spend a lot there but for folks like me who buy one drink at a time, it’s really not a good program and makes it harder to get your free drink. What do you all think?

Wow! Looks like Amazon has changed its free shipping policy on us! The free shipping minimum has been raised from $35 to a whopping $49! This is not going to be good news for everyone who casually shops without having Amazon Prime. I’m not sure how I feel about it since I have Prime and this change doesn’t really effect me but it’s going to make it harder for them to stay competitive. What do you all think?

Woah! Walmart just announced they will be closing 154 stores across the US. This includes 102 Walmart Express stores, 23 Neighborhood Market stores, 12 Supercenters, 6 regular Walmart stores, and 4 Sam’s Club locations. In addition, another 115 stores will be closed around the world. Here’s a quick list of Walmart stores closing in 2016:
