Target Coupon Policy Update

Target logo

Yay! Target updated their official coupon policy and I have some good news (but it’s kind of something we already knew). Here are the new changes:

  • Question #4, Bullet #1. Manufacturer coupons can be accepted at the register even if they don’t clearly indicate who the manufacturer is, or if they indicate the name of another retailer.
  • Question #4, Bullet #2. If a coupon states “Manufacturer Coupon,” it’s redeemable anywhere (including Target), even if the coupon states, “Redeemable at Kroger, Cub, etc.” (or any other retailer).

Basically, Target has clarified that they WILL accept manufacturer coupons with another stores logo or name. For example, like these printable coupons! I’ve always told you guys this but finally it’s in writing. Also, they updated Question #2 making it clear what a per purchase and per transaction means. Read the full Target Coupon Policy here!

You may want to print it out and bring it with you on your shopping trips. Happy Shopping! 🙂

Thanks totallytarget!

Walgreens Coupon Policy Update – NEW CHANGES!

Walgreens logo

Walgreens Coupon Policy Update – NEW CHANGES!

Oh no! Today, Walgreens updated their official coupon policy and I have some bad news. Here are the new changes:

  • Line #7. Walgreens will not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.
  • Line #9. For offers when multiple items are purchased and additional items are free (buy 1 get 1 free; buy 2 get 1 free, etc.), the number of coupons applied to that offer cannot exceed the number of items required in the “buy” portion of the offer.
  • Line #10. Coupons may not be applied against any free item received in any offer (See 7 above).

Basically, it says they wil NOT accept coupons that exceed the value of the item. So if your coupon is for $1.50 and the item is on sale for $1, you’re out of luck. Previously they just adjusted the coupon down to the value of the item but no more. Also, they will NOT allow multiple coupons on a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE sale, Buy 1 Get 2 FREE sale etc. Previously they allowed one coupon per item including the free item. Finally, you will NOT be allowed to use a coupon towards a free item like in a BOGO sale. Read the full Walgreens Coupon Policy here!

You may want to print it out and bring it with you on your shopping trips. I’m disappointed to say the least! 🙁

Thanks dealmama and Amanda!
