“This year, nearly nine out of 10 retailers will have Cyber Monday specials on their Web sites, according to a survey by Shop.org, which runs CyberMonday.com, an online mall with more than 700 retailers. Also, more than half of consumers who shop online will do so at work this year, according to the survey.
Here’s a preview of some of the Cyber Monday specials big-name retailers are offering:
Amazon.com will offer a wide variety of specials, including a Samsung 37-inch LCD HDTV for $699, a Garmin nüvi 785/785T 4.3-inch Portable GPS Navigator for $249.99, a LiveSpeakr Ultra Portable Speaker System for the iPhone and iPod Touch for $39.99, 60 percent off select outerwear, and CDs starting at $5. They will continue to offer their free “Super Saving Shipping” on purchases of $25 or more. All of their specials will be listed at www.amazon.com/cybermonday on Sunday, November 29.
Walmart.com will be extending Cyber Monday to “Cyber Week” by offering five days of discounts on more than 100 of the most popular gifts of the season, including a Little Tikes Play Kitchen for less than $50 with free shipping from Walmart.com to your local store. It will also offer a Kodak 12MP Digital Camera with accessory kit and 4GB memory card for less than $100 with free shipping from Walmart.com to the store.
For parents, Cyber Monday specials at Toysrus.com include a DJ Hero Bundle for $99, a Band Hero Super Bundle for $169.99, buy-two-get-one-free specials on Nerf Blasters and Vtech Software Titles , and savings of up to 70 percent on action figures. The retailer will be offering free shipping on purchases of $49 or more.
From November 29 through December 12, Target.com will offer discounts on their most sought-after items, including electronics, clothing, and toys. On Cyber Monday, the prices of five items in the “Daily Deals” section of Target.com will be reduced to as low as 70 percent off with free shipping. Also during the two-week event, the retailer will give away prizes including hundreds of $25 Target gift cards.
J.C. Penney is having a two-day online Cyber Monday sale at jcp.com on more than 30,000 items. It will also offer an additional 20 percent off select jewelry already reduced by 40 to 60 percent, a My Sports Gaming System for $8.88, a kid’s camcorder and 2G mp3 players for $29.88 each, as well as numerous discounts on adult, juniors, and children’s clothing. Free shipping will be offered for purchases of $25 or more online.
Bestbuy.com will continue to slash their prices on electronics, with Cyber Monday specials that include a 65-inch HDTV for $999.99, a 19-inch TV for $149, DVDs starting at $3.99, a digital photo frame for $19, and a Garmin GPS for $114. They will also offer free shipping on all orders $25 and up.
Also known for their electronics specials, Staples.com will be having a two-day online sale lasting from Sunday, November 29 through Monday, November 30. Specials include a name-brand wireless computer keyboard and mouse for $29.99, a 21-inch computer monitor for $109.99, a 26-inch TV/DVD Player for $349.99, a name-brand 500GB hard drive for $69.99, and a name-brand 14-sheet paper shredder for $99.99. Staples will also provide free shipping on orders of more than $50.
Homedepot.com will offer a variety of specials, including 10 percent off of appliances and discounts on Ryobi Combo Kits. The company will also offer 30 to 60 percent discounts on Hunter Ceiling Fans, plus free shipping, from November 25 through December 31. Customers will also get free shipping on all outdoor spas and a free spa accessory kit with the online purchase of a spa for $3,999 or more from November 22 through December 9.
Lowes.com will be offering “Daily Drill Down” items online beginning November 30 through December 18, a promotion that will feature a specific discounted product each day. Some of its Cyber Monday specials include a Werner 3-Step Steel Step Stool with Tray for $51.98, a Hoover Rewind Bagless Vacuum for $99.99, a Cuisinart 12-cup Chrome Programmable Coffee Maker for $79.99, and a KitchenAid White Stand Mixer 4.5 qt for $199.”
