The following was posted moments ago on Kmart’s Facebook page:
“A coupon for $10 off a $20 purchase has had unauthorized circulation and we have had to stop accepting it at most stores. The coupons will still be honored in the intended stores in the New York, Baltimore and Chicago area. We regret any inconvenience this may cause our customers. Thank you for your continued patronage and we do look forward to sharing other deals and offers with you in the future.”
If you already printed the coupon, I suggest you still try to use the coupon if your near a Kmart. You never know! This was expected I guess. I bet more people stepped into Kmart in the last 24 hours then in the past entire year. Enough said!

Well that's a bummer. I a little disappointed in this.
SCANDAL!!!!!!!
It happens.
It was printed from their own website — what was the "unauthorized circulation?" This happened with Sears once, too — had more customers using the coupon than they anticipated so they pulled it. Not good customer service. Anyone who has already printed the coupon should be allowed to use it. Just my two cents.
Inconvenience? What a bunch of bs. The coupon should not have said "Valid at all Kmart store locations" if that is not what they wanted to honor. Perhaps this is why I haven't shopped at Kmart since Black Friday.
I agree. Not unauthorized if they publish it themselves. KFC did this once with a free meal. They decided that too many people used it so they ended the promotion. Doesn't give anyone warm fuzzies about the company, but I guess everyone makes mistakes, so moving on…
Well, I went today and used one and it didn't accept initially but the cashier didn't think twice about manually putting it in. At least I was able to use it once.
