UPDATE: Napster has just released an official statement regarding this issue. Read it here!
Listen Up! It seems like Napster has decided to revoke everyones membership who used promo code CUST57VT6VTQ, which was posted here on Coupon Pro last night. Everyone who signed up received an email titled ‘Thank for Using Napster” and stating “We’re sorry to see that your plan has expired.”
Readers who called customer service:
“I called their customer service number and they said that Napster headquarters had revoked the use of the promo code and revoked everyone’s membership that resulted from that code.”
“I needed to purchase a Dell computer in order for this to work.”
In my opinion, Napster has every right to cancel everyones membership BUT the amount of publicity they are receiving from this offer is more then I’ve seen in the past 5 years of their existance. Also, this cancelation is going to create a negative view of Napster among many people even though is offer doesn’t cost, us consumers, a penny. I hope they make up for this mess by at least giving away one FREE download, for their sake. What do you guys think?
